4068: Collision

 A vehicle attempting a right turn at an intersection slid into another vehicle that was stopped at a red light.  No injuries.

 

4100:  Stalking

Older male subject showing up to female's place of employment.

 

4226:  Battery

Student had violent outburst and struck a staff member.

 

4168: Hit and run collision

A vehicle was struck by a another vehicle that failed to yield the right of way at an intersection.  The suspect vehicle fled the area without stopping.  The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark colored Cadillac SUV.

 

0009:  Noise Complaint/Drug Offense

Subject contacted for noise complaint. Odor of marijuana emanated from apartment. During protective sweep officers saw illegal controlled substances in plain view.  Search warrant obtained/executed.  Felony PCS charged.

 

0120:  DUI

REDDI report.  Vehicle found parked and driver contacted in bar.  Bar staff said driver had not consumed alcohol since coming back into the bar.  Driver fails SFSTs and was arrested.

 

0179: Public Intoxication

Officer dispatched to unconscious subject believed to be intoxicated. Subject could not care for self and was interfering with sidewalk due to level of intoxication. Subject placed under arrest. PBT=.243% BrAC.

 

0193 Domestic violence

Officers responded to a report of domestic violence.  It was determined that an estranged married couple had a verbal argument that turned physical.  During the altercation the male slapped the female across the face multiple times before he picked up a pointed shovel and held the blade to her face threatening to kill her.  As a result a 55 year old male was charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery. 

 

0299: Drug Offense

An officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.  When he contacted the driver it was determined the subject was on probation with terms that he submit to searches of his person and vehicle.  During a search of the vehicle an officer located a substance which tested positive as MDMA (Ecstasy).  As a result, Jude M Leblanc, 23, of Jackson was charged with probation violation and possession of a controlled substance.

 

0524:  Shoplifting

Suspect stole a jacket. Later identified and arrested for shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance in a related event.

 

0566:  Aggravated Assault

Medical assist call turned into an aggravated assault when the suspect struck an employee at the Silver Dollar with a glass.

 

0569:  Welfare Check

Responded to check welfare on possible suicidal subject, found BB-gun in residence and held for safe keeping.  Subject was fine and advised how to get his BB-gun back.

 

0588:  Drug Offense

Undercover narcotics investigation conducted.  Two subjects arrested for delivery and possession of a controlled substance.

 

0600:  Public Intoxication

Officer dispatched to intoxicated subject who refused to leave business. Subject admitted to being drunk. Subject had nowhere to go. Subject a hazard to traffic. Subject arrested.

 

0633:  Drug Offense

Officer contacted subject for illegal camping. Subsequently arrested for Possession of a Controlled substance, less than 3 ounces.
