Jackson Municipal Court hears violations of the ordinances of the Town of Jackson. These ordinances involve criminal offenses, traffic violations, animal control violations, parking violations, and other municipal ordinance violations. The court manages warrants, probation, accounting, and administration.

Contesting Parking Tickets
Prior to appearing in court, individuals seeking to contest a parking ticket can write to the Town Prosecutor, Lea Colasuonno, via email at email@example.com or send a written letter to the mailing address below with ATTN: Town Prosecutor. Such letter/email must be submitted to the Town Prosecutor within 14 days of the date of issuance.
The following information must be included in the letter/email:
- Citation Number (Going vertically down the side of the ticket-This is NOT the event number)
- Full Name
- Driver's License Number
- Vehicle License Plate Number
- Mailing Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- What action you'd like to see taken
- Reason you are seeking the action
- Any supporting documentation
In addition, as with all tickets issued by the Jackson Police Department, individuals may come into court on the date listed on the ticket and plead not guilty and seek a trial.
If you cannot come to an agreement with the prosecutor by the court date listed on the citation, you must appear in court or you may face additional fines and charges.
Appearing in Municipal Court
Initial appearances at Jackson Municipal Court are normally held every Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the Clifford P. Hansen Courthouse at 145 East Simpson Avenue. You may contact the Court Clerk with any questions during regular business hours or leave a message at the phone number listed below.
Parking ticket bonds may be mailed to the mailing address above or delivered to the front desk at the Town Hall. If you prefer, you may also pay your ticket online here. Please be sure to include your citation number. The Town of Jackson accepts cash, credit/debit cards, and personal checks (please do not mail cash).
