Municipal Court Clerk- Finance Department 

The Town of Jackson is now accepting applications for the position of Municipal Court Clerk. We are seeking a qualified, motivated, value-centered individual able to provide excellent customer service and work in a confidential atmosphere.  The position is 32 hrs/week with full benefits.  The starting salary for this position is dependent upon qualifications with a full salary range of $20.51/hr - $29.71/hr.  This is a responsible staff position involved with managing, directing and organizing the Jackson Municipal Court system.  Preferred candidate will have a working knowledge of legal and court principles and practices.  Assignments include data entry, court attendance, generating correspondence, responding to customer requests for information, and related work as assigned.  Secondary duties include backup functions in the Finance and front desk area of the Town Hall.  Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: a Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Business Administration, Justice Administration or related field, plus two years experience in a court or legal setting including extensive automated records management, Spanish fluency a plus.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills and computer experience.  The Town of Jackson offers a competitive benefit package that includes health, vision and dental insurance, retirement benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO), which covers holidays, vacation and sick leave.  Applications may be obtained at the Town Hall at 150 East Pearl in the Administration Office, or call or write to the Personnel Department, Town of Jackson, P.O. Bus Driver-START

START Bus is hiring full and part-time seasonal drivers starting at $18.00/hr. Rental housing provided on first come/first served basis!  Typical qualifications include: Wyoming Class B Commercial Drivers License with air brake and passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain. Applicants without a CDL making the commitment for the entire winter season will receive assistance in obtaining a CDL from the Town of Jackson. Successful applicants should possess the ability to deal politely, effectively and responsibly with the public, exceptional customer service skills a must. Morning/evening and weekday/weekend shifts are available.  Great ski pass discount plus $300 safe driver season bonus and $300 season bonus for averaging 30/hrs. week.

The legal extern may conduct legal research, gather evidence, develop arguments and testimony, analyze legal issues, recommend plans of action, prepare legal instruments, reports and correspondence, and gather other information to assist the town attorney in decision-making processes. Substantive areas of law the extern is likely to explore include, municipal law; constitutional law; administrative law; contract law; local government law; land development regulations, zoning and land use law; franchise law; municipal code issues regarding permitting, licensing, public safety, peace, morals, and motor vehicle/traffic issues.

 Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum 1 year completed towards a law degree. Applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills, computer experience, and good references. The number of credits earned, deadline for application and duration of term will be in accordance with the requirements as set forth by the student’s law school externship program and volunteer work may continue after school requirements are filled based on mutual agreement.
