The Town of Jackson’s Public Works Department has announced that several projects will begin on Monday, August 28. In addition to the continued efforts to mitigate the West Broadway Landslide, the Public Works Department will begin the East Broadway Sewer Main Replacement Project, the High Teton Sewer Replacement Project and the 2017 Fall Street Patching Project. All of these town improvements will have some impact on traffic.
“These projects are necessary for this community,” said Josh Frappart, Town of Jackson Associate Engineer. “Our crews will be working as efficiently as possible to minimize impact on travel; however there will be some impact. We are encouraging residents to plan accordingly, allow a little extra travel time and have patience as these important community projects are completed.”
The East Broadway Sewer Main Replacement Project is scheduled to start on August 28 and continue until October 15th. During this project, access to property and the roadway areas will be limited at times. Work on the project will begin on East Broadway between No Name Street and Redmond Street, and continuing along No Name Street and Stormy Circle. Expect road closures to begin on September 5th.
The High Teton Sewer Replacement Project is scheduled to start on August 28 and continue until September 29th. Please note no construction activities will be allowed over the Labor Day weekend. During this project access to property and parking areas will be limited at times. The proposed schedule is subject to change with weather conditions.
The 2017 Fall Patching Project is also scheduled to begin on Monday, August 28. This program has been in place for many years in an effort to address spot locations within the Town of Jackson’s road network that are in a state of decline. The project will include installation of approximately 25,000 square feet of street patching throughout Town. Weather permitting, the project is scheduled to be completed between August 1st and September 15th, 2017. Work will not be permitted from August 16 to August 23.
In an effort to limit delays, please seek alternate routes and avoid driving the designated roads.
Additional Information: Please be aware of, and obey all construction notification, detour and parking restriction signage as they there for your safety and the safety of the construction workers.
