Pearl Avenue Construction Update

The Town of Jackson Public Works Department provides updated information on Town projects regularly throughout the busy summer construction season. Below is an update on the Pearl Avenue Pavement project.

This project involves milling of the existing asphalt pavement surface and overlay with new asphalt pavement on West Pearl Avenue from the intersection of Cache/Pearl to the intersection of Jackson/Pearl.

Crews will begin work on this project starting Friday, May 4.  The project will begin with partial closures of Pearl Avenue for preparation work, with milling work beginning on May 7, followed by a full closure of Pearl Avenue for the paving process.   There will be No Parking signs posted along this section of Pearl Avenue during the construction project.  Work will take place between 7:00am and 7:00pm on weekdays only and the roadway will open in the evenings and for the weekend.

The sidewalk will remain open throughout the project for pedestrian use; however, bicyclists are encouraged to utilize alternative routes.   Please plan your route accordingly, obey all posted construction signage and expect delays.   Weather permitting, this project will be completed by Friday, May 11.

People may access the Town of Jackson website (www.townofjackson.com) for detailed information and updates to all Engineering projects.  You may also contact Rachelle Rhodes, Associate Engineer in the Public Works Department anytime at 733-3079 or at rrhodes@jacksonwy.gov.  We appreciate your patience and understanding with this project and all of the projects taking place to help make Jackson a better place to live.
