Important Information for Floaters

Looks to be another gorgeous weekend in Jackson. If you are considering 'floating the creek' this weekend please be a good neighbor and a steward of the environment. Remember these important points:

- No trespassing on public lands

- No dogs at large

- Open alcohol containers are strictly prohibited on Flat Creek

- Dogs are prohibited in public parks

- Public urination is prohibited (and gross)

- Please respect private property at all times. Utilize designated public access locations when accessing Flat Creek.

- Glass containers are prohibited.

- Please dispose of garbage in designated receptacles.

- Float at your own risk - no safety personnel present. Dangerous and swift flowing cold water, low clearance bridges, and shallow water occur in some locations.

- Be considerate of neighbors and environment by limiting noise and disturbance to riparian habitat.

- Respect wildlife.

For additional information and maps about public access points please contact the Town of Jackson or the Parks and Recreation Department.
