First Snow King Stakeholder Group Meeting Complete
Jackson, Wyo. January 29, 2018 – The Snow King Mountain Stakeholder Group gathered for their first meeting on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. During this public meeting, the group discussed their protocols for working together and representing the community going forward, as well as their interests. This list of interests will anchor their work as they begin to develop scenarios and was influenced by the community interests and mapping exercise from the community workshop on January 22, 2018, as well as the stakeholders' ideas and knowledge.
Stakeholders will review documents and information regarding the Snow King area and the surrounding community between meetings and will spend their next meeting asking clarifying questions about these foundational documents and beginning to draft scenarios. A full meeting summary is forthcoming.
The Town of Jackson and Snow King Mountain Resort formed a stakeholder work group to provide feedback regarding the future of Snow King Mountain Resort and the surrounding base area. This group will be tasked with developing several consensus-based scenarios ensuring that any future development, uses and polices reflect the needs of Snow King, the Town of Jackson, the US Forest Service and the residents of Jackson.
The Stakeholder Group meetings are open to the public. The next Stakeholder Group meeting is scheduled for February 13, 2018.
