Fall Burn Week Information

Burn Week: October 28 - November 5

FALL BURN WEEK

October 28 to November 5.

All residents wishing to burn, should call Teton County

Law Enforcement at 733-2331 prior to burning.

During this week, residents may use controlled burns to

clean-up their property by burning clean wood, branches,

and leaves.  For more information contact JH Fire/EMS

at 733-4732 or Town Hall at 733-3932.     

 

  1. Pile burn of 3 feet or less in diameter and 2 feet or less in height must be located 25 feet from a structure or combustibles.

  2. Piles larger than the above dimensions must be 50' or more from a structure of combustibles.

All Fires must have:

  • Someone in attendance at all times.
  • A source to extinguish the fire (garden hose or fire extinguisher).
  • Fires must be extinguished if wind speeds are above 10 mph.
  • Burning can only be done during daylight hours.
