While the Town of Jackson represents the municipal government of this western, Wyoming town, it does offer some resources for visiting this special place.
The seasons are quite different here, and each bears its own benefits and surprises. As the gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, the home of three major ski areas and the National Elk Refuge, and the access point for Bridger Teton National Forest, you will never run out of activities in Jackson Hole.
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is the first stop for information to plan any vacation, with a full listing of events, lodging, shopping, and dining choices. The Chamber can also be reached at (307) 733-3316 or visit them at 112 Center Street. Each national park also has visitor guides, and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Grand Targhee Ski & Summer Resort, and Snow King Resort all offer choices for families and individuals.
Getting to Jackson is simple. The Jackson Hole Airport is just minutes from town and offers many direct and connecting flights provided by Delta, United, American, Frontier, and Skywest Airlines.
There are many lodging facilities in the Town of Jackson within walking distance from the Town Square and Snow King Mountain. Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks each have many options for hotels, cabins, and camping.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Teton Village offer a wide variety of lodging options including a hostel, condominiums and vacation homes, luxury hotels and Lodges, and even a mountain yurt.
Grand Targhee Resort also has many lodging options for you to choose from.
If the rugged life is more your thing, the Jackson area also has a large number of campgrounds and RV Parks. And it is always free and fun to camp on National Forest land. Just always be aware of current fire conditions, restrictions, and bans.
