Jackson Hole is a challenging place to buy a home. 97% of the land in the county is owned by the Federal government, leaving very little left for private development. The median sale price of a single family home as of 2016 was $880,000. That said, there are several affordable housing opportunities in the area for residents to take advantage of.

Jackson / Teton County Affordable Housing
The Jackson / Teton County Affordable Housing Department supplies and catalyzes workforce housing by providing development incentives; and using tax revenue, developer fees and exactions. Currently, the Housing Department manages 20 rental units and ensures compliance on another 831 deed restricted units throughout Teton County.
